This brand is Kobalt, and while it is also a relative newcomer it has not been acquired by a bigger company, unlike Craftsman which is no longer owned by Sears.

You might recognize the name of this brand, but rest assured that it has nothing to do with the Metabo that operates in Europe. Rather, this is the new brand name for Hitachi, a company that has a long history in this industry.
